Dial down the output current/power to match the maximum power available from the circuit you are connecting to. Electrical safety codes require the continuous current draw to be limited to 80% of the circuit breaker's rating. Set the chargers output power to prevent overloads and circuit breakers tripping and maximise charging speed.
Different circuits have different power ratings. Whether you are charging at home, a friends place or on the road you can adjust the chargers output current to safety match the maximum output of circuit you are connecting on and maximise charging speed.
Charging at a slower, steadier current (lower AC current) generates less heat, which is gentler on your vehicles battery and On-Board Charger (OBC). This contributes to long-term battery health and longevity of all components. Frequent DC fast charging at high currents shortens battery life.
Use the adjustable delay timer feature to start charging when electricity rates/tariffs are lower.
